Svetlana Degteva,   Competitive Head Coach   

Svetlana Degteva is coaching at Discovery Gymnastics since January 2008. Previously she has been employed by Gymnastics Mississauga for 17 years. Throughout these years, she has produced numerous provincial and national champions, as well as Canadian National Team Members representing Canada at World Championships and Olympic Games. Svetlana has also produced 28 athletes who were granted full scholarships in the division I USA Universities.

Svetlana has graduated from Lvov’s University in Ukraine, achieved double major in physical education and massage therapy. She is currently fully certified Level 4 gymnastics Coach for Canada.

   Olga Dudchenko,   Assistant Head Coach   

Olga Dudchenko has had over 30 years experience in artistic gymnastics and she has worked for 8 years at Gymnastics Mississauga. She has produced provincial and national champions, as well as two Olympic members for Ukraine in 1992 and 1996. Olga is also international level judge. She judged at many national and international competitions. Olga has produced 12 athletes who were granted full scholarships in the division I USA Universities.

Olga graduated from Simferopol State University in Ukraine, and graduated with a major in physical education. Olga is currently fully Level 3 certified gymnastics coach, and works towards completion of her Level 4.

Tatiana Lushnikova,   Assistant Coach

   Victoria Khalyavka,    Assistant Coach   

Victoria has 9 years of coaching experience in Artistic Gymnastics as well as Power Tumbling. She has coached athletes in various competitive levels. Victoria has graduated from College of commerce, Sevastopol, Ukraine, and achieved her manager diploma. She is also certified as aerobics and fitness instructor. Victoria is fully certified Level 2 artistic gymnastics coach, as well as Level 1 trampoline.

   Nadia Kharina,   Precomp Coach   

Nadia has over 15 years of gymnastics experience. She was a high-performance gymnast, and had competed at various National as well as International competition. She has been working at Discovery Gymnastics for the past 6 years. Nadia is currently a student at York University and will be graduating with a degree in Human Resources Management. She is also fully certified Level 2 artistic gymnastics coach, as well as Level 1 trampoline.

   Albina Dudchenko,   Recreational Director   

Albina has 9 years of experience working with recreational level athletes, and over two years directing a school. She is currently in her final year of studies in University of Toronto obtaining her Bachelor of Science. Albina is fully NCCP Level 2 Artistic Gymnastics and Level 1 Trampoline certified. Albina’s goal is to develop a fun, safe and positive recreational program that allows athletes to grow and succeed.
